Our Chapter and some sponsors had an extremely successful showing at the National Green Centre this past weekend. In addition to our booth, sponsors Earthworks, Kirchner/FRENO and St Louis Composting had their own exhibits. Chapter Member Jim Davis was also exhibiting with his company Landtech.
Quite a few members stopped by our booth to visit and give us their impression of the event. One of the resounding themes heard from members was that the CEU offered was excellent across the board. Remarks were complimentary as to the depth of knowledge presented in each session as well as the caliber of speakers.
Quite a few affiliated organizations were represented as well. Scott Woodbury had a huge display set up for Shaw Nature Reserve, St Louis Composting, Grow Native and Missouri Department of Conservation. Also on the exhibit floor were booths for St Louis Earth Day and Wild Ones.
St Louis ASLA would like to thank all those who helped make our first showing at the National Green Centre a success:
Susan Maag for tireless enthusiasm/manual labor/superior chatting skills
Tim Slazinik for facilitating the booth with a smile
Jay LeChein for multiple counts of booth labor
Doug DeLong for manning the booth
Chris Moon for working the room and the booth
Kristy DeGuire for finding/approving the booth from Arturis
Michelle Pinkston for speedy graphic skills
Hunter Beckham for labor at inconvenient times/Presenting SITES
Ted Spaid for presenting SITES
Jim Davis for manning the booth/making introductions
Josi Nielsen for organizing/coordinating/cellphone photography/tweets
And everyone else who offered encouragement and came out to participate.
