ASLA St. Louis promotes the development, education and awareness of the landscape architecture profession in the greater St. Louis area – which is comprised of the eastern half of Missouri. By advocating for the profession through various activities, we support the professional integrity of our members.
What is Landscape Architecture?
Landscape architecture is the planning and design of a variety of outdoor public areas, landmarks, and structures to achieve environmental and aesthetic outcomes – for the benefit of the surrounding community. The scope of Landscape Architects’ work can include:
- Site planning
- Garden design
- Environmental restoration
- Town or urban planning
- Park and recreation planning
- Regional planning
- Historic preservation
